Sony Ericsson Z710 Review

Sony Ericsson Z710A sophisticated clamshell phone for fast and effective calling, messaging and data communications. The Z710 has Bluetooth technology for PC-to-phone calendar and contacts synchronization. In addition, the integrated Push email gets your email straight to your phone and RSS feeds keep you updated on the latest news and events. You could also capture and share an image of where you are with the Z710i 2 megapixel camera and multimedia messaging. Looking for an all in one, yet reasonably simple phone, the Z710 definately worth the price.

This phone is simply awesome !! I bought this phone via amazon. I was searching a all in 1 handset in less than 240 US$ and I found this 1 . EDGE simply boosts internet speed on handset itself & also via my laptop. I successfully configured my GMAIL account in "E-mail" option inside SMS. It can configure any POP3 account. But not SMTP. You can not configure your exchange account in it via SMTP. POP3 must be enabled on your exchange server. Most HTML web sites displays qucker and in descent way on the screen. I havent deployed Opera web browser. MSN messenger, Yahoo! messenger works fine. Camera quality is adorable. When pics are transferred to PC they look much better than they actually on the phone. Battery goes up to 1 & half day if you are using heavy internet via phone itself, music for 2~3 hours, Camera for a while. 1 bad thing is via USB, battery charging speed is veyr slow. Via charger, battery gets charged soon. But if battery goes below 5 % , it takes approx 2 hours to get fully charged. Sony offers worldwide warranty for this handset. I use this handset in INDIA without any problem. I bought the handset in US via amazon for 234 US$ THIS HANDSET SIMPLY AWESOME IF YOU ARE REALLY LOOKING FOR A ALL IN 1 GIZMO !!!!

I love this phone, but to be completely impartial, here is the review in as few words as possible. The technical details are available everywhere I'll give their usage.Audio Quality: The external speaker is loud enough to be heard clearly in a small gathering but may go unnoticed in a crowd. The internal speaker offers clear audio in any environment but not so loud that everyone around can hear your conversations too.Screen: The external screen features four buttons on the side, on the upper right play/pause, lower right display (shows the screen's content). On the left forward and rewind. The screen has a black background and white text when lit and the good old monochrome when on standby (or if selected so, turned off). The internal display features 262k colors but is not quite as good looking as the w800's or the k800's the screen is unusually bright and the icons are slightly low quality but better than most other SE's creationsButtons: Good lookin and feel comfortable too but not so soft that simply keeping your finger on them activates them.Camera: It's 2 megapixels but it isn't quite as impressive as the 2mp Cyber-Shot (no duh!) not even the same as the k750i's but quite better than the nokia's 3250, it leaves a slight tint of green and the the color is not very exhuberant but is quite clear and not terrible.Battery: 1 and a half day of regular usage (a few calls, a few songs, a few games, plenty of text messaging).

I 've had the phone for a about two weeks now. So far, I'm very satisfied with its performance. The navigation keys give just the right "feel" despite being almost flushed on the keypad. Sending text messages is a lot easier compared to other SE phones I've had in the past. A pleasant surprise was when I checked the phone's memory. I was expecting just a little over 10mb, instead I got 19mb, which means I can add whatever application that would suite me best. The camera is quite easy to use, and I like the dedicated button for turning it on rather than going through the menu just to look for it. Picture quality is very good, the images are crisp and the colors are quite sharp. About the only catch was the small memory of the M2 card it came with (64 mb). Otherwise, it's a great phone. I used to stay away from clamshells, but this phone changed all that. Overall, I got a phone that suites my needs for a good price.
