First and foremost, being an S710a user myself the first thing that strikes me with the W600iis it's size. It's clearly smaller then the S710a. While the consensus is the S710a is a "big" phone, I myself never found it to be large considering it's pretty much identical to the V635 in width and height because of the V635's stub antenna. The W600i is a much smaller looking package and it's style is love it or leave it. I myself love it; from the orange rubbery removable face plates to the loop quadband antenna...I found that the keypad on the W600i, while still not exactly there yet, is light years better then the S710a's. The buttons themselves are lit orange in going with the walkman theme, and provide a reasonable enough click and feedback when pressed. What I really like on the keypad of the W600i is that SE moved the power and wap buttons elsewhere only leaving the Numeric pad. No more accidental wap launches or power downs on the W600i...Of course, it's no secret the W600i is a walkman branded product. As such, it has a dedicated walkman button on the front as well as a dedicated play button on the top left side. This gives you easy access to all your tracks. The layout of the walkman SW is quite straightforward allowing you to set up playlists or select single songs by album or single track. The walkman SW is quite good considering it's still beta and can be minimized while songs are being played as well...In closing, with all the new little SW tweaks SE has added to an already solid SE UI platform the W600i will be one great little phone. it's already shaping up to be the replacement to my S710a. SE just seems to listen to the customers. A while ago people complained that you can't set SMS tones as personal MP3's. now you can. they didn't have the ability to mark SMS recipients creating big lists on the fly, now they do. It just seems that with every new SE product they move forward with the brand and the quality of features they bring to the table.

While the W600 Walkman Phone is an immensely entertaining device, with its stereo music abilities and the available games, I didn't fall in love with it. The location of the antenna on the bottom when the device is open caused me some concern, and I just can't get into the keypad design. The W600 has a great spec sheet, it just seems to me that the way all of that capability was packaged is less than optimal. However, I know for a fact that a lot of people love using this phone. It seems that the W600 is a matter of taste - it just doesn't suit mine. I give it a "Recommended" rating, but suggest that instead you look at the W800 as a better alternative on almost all fronts except gaming.

The Sony Ericsson W600i Walkman is a relatively new kind of convergence device that brings together a high quality MP3 player with FM radio and a mobile phone. Sure, a lot of phones can play MP3’s these days, but the W600i offers decent capacity to store tunes, music syncing over USB and a great sounding player with good earbuds. Though a little thicker than some competing feature phones, it packs a lot into a relatively compact frame. The world band phone will work anywhere GSM service is available and EDGE keeps data flowing at a reasonable pace. The phone has Bluetooth which means you can sync PIM data to your Bluetooth-enabled computer and use Bluetooth wireless headsets. Pros: All in one MP3/radio/phone. World capable GSM with EDGE for data. Sharp and fast display is great for games. Bluetooth for headsets and syncing. More compact than the Sony Ericsson S710a it replaces in the Cingular lineup and it has a higher capacity battery. Cons: A little pudgy, swivel on wrong side, documentation lacking, no expansion slot and only 256 megs of memory mean that the phone holds less than 100 songs.

For those looking for an affordably priced music phone with many powerful features, you would be hard pressed to find a better solution on carrier shelves. Sony Ericsson has addressed nearly every complaint about the S710a without introducing too many new bugs. This is definitely not the camera phone that the S710a was, nor is it the camera phone the the W800 is now. If the camera is your primary concern, we'd still suggest looking at other models, especially other Sony Ericsson models. The K750 and W800 take beautiful pictures, and if you need 850 MHz then hold out for the W810i. But if you're looking for long battery life, a solid music player, and a powerful interface in an affordably priced phone, the W600 is a good choice to bop your head to.

Another great SE phone. Is really one of the best American phone i've owned. Pros: *Great sound (dual speaker)*Bluetooth works great. Push files, modem (Usb and BT modem {teathering}) headset and syncing*Wonderful service, better than most (I use cingular)*Great UI/ easy to use and learn*LED light can be used as a torch*Syncing/ iSync with mac, and ZYB*Installs most java games no hassle*Great music and video editing software included*Can do voice recordings (including record phone conversations)*Easy lock/unlock on the side without errors in pocket*Very firm feel (feels well made, not like the razar)*Can be found for cheap price new (about $150 us)Cons: ^camera is only 1.3mp^kinda thick and heavy to thin phone users^Video is low quality and limited time^Keyboard light make it look cheap^No 3G (EDGE) but it is an older phone^The UI is very sensitive (search WSOD {White Screen Of Death} and see) I messed my 1 phone up because I didn't eject it from the coumputer. Use "safely remove hardware" (windows) or "Eject" (OS X) OR ELSE! ^No upgradeable memory!!! I would recommend it to most anyone. I really loved this phone. It has done a great deal for me and was hard to replace.Over all: 89% of 100

This phone is also perfect for taking pictures, it has a built in flash and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera. It also has a whole bunch of other cool features. The only downside is that is has only 256 mb of space, and you cant add a memory stick. But everything else is amazing. I recomend this phone to everyone it's Great!!!!!!javascript:emoticon
