Sony Ericsson T610 Review (Expert)
The T610 is definitely the first Sony Ericsson model worthy of some praise. Everything else that’s come through before has either been a refined or facelifted version of an older product by Ericsson, or something that’s not even worth considering (this is, of course, excluding the one and only P800 smartphone). With a move away from their previous design genres and a refined user interface that’s so much easier to use, it was no doubt (at first sight) that this was going to be an interesting review.
The T610 more than makes up for its raw edges with its overall excellence, and just about qualifies for an Editors' Choice. Technically experienced early adopters will find the T610’s feature set difficult to resist, while even casual users will be much pleased by its wealth of personalisation options.
Sony Ericsson T610 Review (User)
After a hard choice i decided to go for a SE T610 and never looked back on it. Dispite of some bad points like low ring volume which is sometimes hard to hear (even on the highest level), weak vibrate, not a good camera quaility (especially during night conditions) and poor screen which is hard to see in very bright conditions (eg sunlight) it is a very good phone and has all the features i need and does what i need to do fitting into my lifestyle very well. I had no overall problems with it, only a very glitch with the SW/FW which was fixed with an upgrade to the latest and have looked after the phone very well. Overall i am happy with the handset and give the SE T610 8/10!
i've got to say, mine never fell over much, but i did drop it into a puddle (very deep) the whole phone sunk in, i took it out and it was still working fine i have to say, the t610 did the job for me. it had everything you wanted at that time. the bluetooth, quickshare and themes were the selling points of it.now it is still a good second phone.
Fair comments on the screen and camera...And VERY fair comment on how blinkin' tough it is. Aside from all the "general knocks" you'd expect a mobile to take, mine has fell down a flight & 1/2 of solid stairs, been stood on several times - albeit with trainers and not hob-nailed-boots!It's also took several dips and lived to see another day It fell out of my top pocket when I was running a bath; dropped in a pint of bitter at the pub; most embarrasingly was the few tims it's plopped into the lav. Needless to say I don't tell my mates about that when they ask to use it!You probably can do better for the price but not much better if you want it to last a good while!
I had one for ages. The damn thing wouldn't break, despite several "accidents". Very good build quality. One of the first real themable phones, and good clear quality polyphonic ringtones. Screen is a major let down however - it doesn't show up in daylight and for this reason the T630 is better. Camera is also very poor quality. For the price, you can get much better phones.
Had mine for ages now and still happy with it.Never been over keen on the joystick navigator and the back-plate can be a pain to remove, but they are the only downfalls of an otherwise top rate phone!Reliability is of a high standard. Sound is great, features are great... T610 is great!!!And now they are affordable for pay as you go ussers to get brand new... Nice work Sony!
