The device is rather hard to use as a usual phone due to its size. It is even larger than a PDA equipped with a VGA-screen. The ergonomics is rather dubious and using the phone everyday is just uncomfortable. You will have to use both hands and do not forget about a bag you will carry the device in. This discomfort is smoothed away when using a bluetooth headset permanently. Musical possibilities of the phone are standard and represented by radio and mp3 player. Carrying this thing for these two functions seems too cruel to yourself. The same Sony Ericsson S700 is not very little that is what users complain of, but this device is huge compared to it. The screen is the main advantage of the device and in fact there is nothing interesting more. Slow work of the device makes it unpleasant to deal with the phone. The tests show Nokia 7710 is an obvious outsider among other devices. The disadvantages may be described for long and there are no evident advantages. Unfortunately, Nokia 7710 was some kind of a dead product from the beginning, and the company admits it also since the product is the last based on 90-platform. That is practically impossible to get programs for the device and not many of them are likely to appear. There are no rivals for the model not because nobody can make the same but nobody sees any reason in manufacturing such a product. There is no market for the model; it competes with all the phones and none at the same time...The conclusion is rather simple - buying it is possible if you have much money and are ready for brave experiments...the smartphone is uncomfortable in everyday life. If you need a business device, you would better have a look at Nokia 9300/Nokia 9500. They have a higher operating speed and comparable functionality. If you need a touchscreen, you would better turn to Sony Ericsson products or MS Windows Mobile smartphones.

Impressive at first sight, the 7710 has great promise as a concept but fails to deliver either as a multimedia or enterprise device. Despite its stability and versatility, applications beyond PIM and web browsing suffer from feature anemia, whilst a slow processor and poor battery life further hamper its pretty and intuitive user interface. Fortunately, it's not too expensive, which in conjunction with EDGE makes it great for browsing, listening to radio and basic messaging and PIM tasks. What's positive: Large, bright screen; versatile; ideal for mobile web browsing; FM radio What's negative: Poor performance and battery life; anemic software; slow synchronization

If you thought the line between handhelds and handphones was blur, this new design from Nokia will definitely confuse you further. Banking on the rising trend of handphones multitasking as media centers and mobile offices, the 7710 shakes off its identity crisis and emerges a jack-of-all-trades...The 7710 is not the smallest, most user-friendly phone around. Nor is it a Wi-Fi-toting, work-heavy mobile like the Nokia 9500. However, this latest Nokia offering has a long list of cool features which should appeal to anyone eager for entertainment and work on-the-go.

Hi there,I got my 7710 for Rs.25,500 from Kolkata,it is really a nice phone with all the features u can think of.AFTY has given a real good description of the phone....Believe me guys this is a very cool phone.But the only problem that i am facing is to find a software that will convert avi files into 3gpp format so that i can upload them on my 7710.If u guys have any idea about where to find it pls post ur mail here.And thanks to u AFTY for advising to decrease the screen brightness to 75%,that has really increased the battery life.

hi mobile freakos...'Gaurav Garg' dis side..a month back i bought nokia7710 worth 600$..thtz around rs 27000 in indian currency.well d handset is fully loaded wid all practical features.d touch pad is very well responsive and d wide screen's display and resolution are awesome..d real wide screen player was not present in nokia9500 which they have put it in 7710 ,a full screen display is marvellous...d radio fm sound quality is quite satisfying..internet access is upto mark..rather fast..but the handsets hangs every now n then and when it comes to d speed , itz very slow..it keeps u waitin for 20 seconds or more to open a file..itz very irritating...when it comes to sound quality..nokia is far behind sony ericsson's techo....d speaker is only loud..not clear or we say not digital.. and after saving d sound or video we cant rename or edit a file if we wish to..overall the phone's software is just a copy of sony p900 wid extra added features like fm radio,work sheet, gr8 in built momory space..nokia needs to improve a lot...i wud give 7.5 out of 10 to this phone...desperately waiting for some themes and games to download at any cost...m starving with this toyish look phone....bye[B]

hey! ppl, hwz it goin'?this is d 1st tm evr tht im writng a review so im gonna try & make it as interesting as possbl 4 evry1 out thr.d 7710 cost me 650$us here in bombay.i didnt like d silverish color whch on d box says "grey", so i got d d other color whch looks kinda goldenish & on d box says "white".in d box there was a leather case 4 d phone, whch is nice but it aint a belt case like d 1 tht cmz wth d p910i.thrz also a special cleanng cloth, an xtra stylus & a 128mb mmc.nokia is gradually gttng rid of infra frm all forthcmng models & instead gvng u a cnnctvty cable.thr aint no screen protector available 4 d 7710 so i got a palmtop screen protctr, cut it as per d screen size of d 7710 & it did d job.im usng a 512 mb mmc & plan 2 get a 1gb mmc soon. d 7710 spprts an mmc up2 1gb.d mmc slot is hot swap types so u dont have 2 remove d battry 2 change d mmc.d spkr is as loud as d 7610 or d 6230.d phn has 2 preinstalled themes & thts all ull have tll some theme creators get wrkng.d screen is rlly nice & bright.u might wanna get d brghtness dwn to 75%, it wll surely increase d bttry life.decreasng d brgthness is not gonna hamper d screen quality.d best part bout d 7710 is tht it has no flip like d pxxx series frm d se stable.d physical keys r very well located on d phn.thr r enough keys 4 u 2 even manage wthout d stylus, u jst need 2 get d hang of it.d touch screen is rlly nice & responds equally wll 2 d finger or d stylus.d 7710 has a whopping 90mb internal mmry, whch is unprecedented on any of d previous nokia or se phones.wth d 7710 u wll nvr have 2 wrry bout incomng file size & u wll nvr c an error message like "mmry full, delete some files".xcellent bt on this phone, i transfrrd an entire folder of aound 50mb containing 10 music files in 1 shot via bluetooth.d camera is very good & therz hardly any diffrence when compared 2 images taken with d nokia6630 or d se s700.d real tragic part is tht ths magnificient phn has no night mode.i must admit i have no clue wht goes on inside women's minds nor do i have a clue wht goes on in d minds of nokia designers.thr aint no games in d 7710.sis files tht wrk on d 7610, dnt wrk on d 7710.d stereo mp3 playr is really good & loud, if only it had an equalizer like d 6230.fm radio wrks fine, jst like any othr nokia phn.d 7710 can open almost all types of office documents.i have tried opening only 1 pwr pnt prsntation so far & it wrkd gr8.a super browser on this phn gvs u an upgrade frm wap 2 www.i have written this entire review frm my 7710 on a 45 minute bus ride on my way 2 d airprt.if u wanna have a complete phn go 4 d emperor of phns, d nokia 7710.
