Nokia 6265 Review
Blending the latest technology with useful business features, the Nokia 6265 phone features a spring-action slide for fast access to the keypad. The nokia 6265 comes with an integrated 2 megapixel camera with flash and 4x digital zoom, video recorder, FM radio and MP3 player. Now you could save your photos on the included 64MB miniSD card, then transfer them to your PC, print them directly from the phone or send them to friends and family via MMS. The Nokia 6265 also allows user to stream high-quality audio and video to the impressive 262,144 color 240 x 320 pixels QVGA display screen.

I have this phone on MetroPCS here in Dallas, TX and i must say this phone is a definite step up from the Motorola SLVR 7LC one i previously had. I give this phone a overall 9.7 PROS:- Solid design and slide mechanism is very sturdy and not loose.- Very good camera for a phone. people who see the pics i take with it have told me "that is some nice phone on that camera"-have you ever tried to look at your cell phone in the sun? It's almost impossible. with my moto i had to cover the screen with my hand to get shade to view my screen. Well this phone you can defiantly see the screen in the sun. I think the screen is sort of simular to the older 1st generation Game Boy Advance, where you still needed sunlight to play. my bosses new $400+ samsung blackjack II doesn't even have this awesome screen.- Very LOUD speaker!!!!! I read all these reviews and i don't remember seeing anyone putting down anything about this loud speaker. This is the loudest phone i have owned. VERY NICE!!!!-Media player is good. I can still play songs even when at the home screen. - Bluetooth is awesome. You can even route your audio from music to it.-Reception and clarity are superb on this phone-MiniSD slot is located externally. This may not mean alot to other people but i had a MOTO SLVR and the MicroSD slot was located on the back behind the battery. So i had to disassemble my phone every time to access the card. Trust me it gets old very quick. CONS: -when connected via bluetooth headset incoming calls are just a single beep on the earpeice and nothing else. You can easily miss calls this way. It doesn't make sense cause the same scenario but via 2.5mm headset you get ringing in your earpeice and phone. -It uses MiniSD and not MicroSD(i have like 20 512mb-2gb microsd cards that i cant use with this phone)-pin charger. some people may disagree but i think we live in a day where pin charger ports should be extinct. I just feel pin chargers are far to unstable and i have had many break on me or become faulty over time. -Not being able to download images or MIDI tones via browser. Now i understand this issue might be carrier dependent. With my previous phone the SLVR i could save images and MIDI's but the Nokia i cant. Also in fairness the browsers are different on the phones.-Battery life is not as long as my other phones. Wish it was just a little longer but guess you cant have everything perfect on a phone. I have noticed certain themes that are activated can affect loading themes on the phone. Some people have said it takes forever to load their card. Now i have D/Led many themes from this website and i had a ironman theme active and when i went to my Gallery to my card it would take a very long time. Then i switched to a Need For Speed Most Wanted theme and did the same and viola! For some reason every thing loads with alot more speed. I don't know if whoever made this theme made it to where it loads fast on purpose or what. (how symbolic a Need For Speed theme would run fast on a phone)Overall this a very good phone. just keep in mind folks the sole purpose of the NOKIA 6265i, It's a cell phone.
this phone is nice better than the SLVR L7 or RAZR KRZ and all that stuff but i got some videos stored and it wont let me play them it skips and they stop alot is their a way to fix this its the only problem i got with the phone other than its slow with a Mini sd but is their like a software that will make the videos play better.

I purchased this mobile with a good dreams in my mind but now all in vein as mobile stopped working in just a 45 days sharp . blank screen no activity , no photographs in higher resolution more than vga mode 640 x 480 , If you take high resolution pictures with this mobile and you will be able to see this picture only on your mobile as compression softaware of jpg is corrupted after getting replacement by new mobile from nokia I again tried but same history continues with the new phone , now this new phone after two months of working is again showing its features like running out of battery in a short period ,. I request my friend to get united and throw this mobile against nokia office . If you pay this much amound you will get superb phone in GSM modules any brands. than all this CDMA phone are working like outdated versions , Games are working very slow , RED eye error in Photo asa well as VIDEO , Short battery performance , Keypad unlock by sliding , My phone no is 9372008200Amit Panchal INDIA

This happens regardless if I have the video saving to my phone or memory card. I tried taking out the battery and putting it back in and also did a factory restore but that didnt help. Playback worked fine a few days ago and playback works fine when I transfer the videos to my pc via bluetooth.Any idea why this is happening.__________________

super performanc in pic display,sound effect is good compared to 6255.this one is best in cdma nokia.speed is very slow when file opening compared to other company mobiles

I also have the 6265i from Metro Pcs in California. My issues with the phone are two-fold. First off, the preferences re-set when you remove the memory card, and seeing as I only have 24MB of internal memory to save my preferences this is not good. My second issue with the phone is the slowness of accessing applications in the phone. It seems like it takes a millenium to just get into my music player. I do like the fact that this phone has a 2mp camera and has the ability to customize. Overall I'd have to give this phone a 7/10. Ive heard rumors that Nokia stopped making this phone altogether-any truth to this? And does anyone know if we can speed up the operating system? I'm running Windows Vista on my PC so I'd need a program that can work with Vista as well.

I love my 6265 so much that i almost beat someone up for telling me that their razor was better than it. I've had mine now for about 6 months i still love it but i have gotten over the whole first time love phase and now see all the short comings in the phone. The camera is great everyone who has seen the phone knows this, but the videos on the other hand or horrible the pixels look blotchy and to get a clear video you have to either be out in the middle of the day in complete sunshine or at a well lit movie studio.The Mp3 player is great the only suggestion i would have given to nokia is to make the navigation buttons the controller for the mp3 player for example press the left nav button to rewind or to go to the previous song and right for next song instead of having to press the middle button also.Being able to use the flash on the camera as a flashlight is also a great addition but it takes too long to activate it would have been great it nokia added an option to just turn the light on without having to go through having to go into the camera then go to options turn on the flash and then switch to video just to have 30 seconds of light.The memory when browsing the internet is not very good for instance when i go on some websites my phone shows a message that says not enough memory but is not a very big problem since i can still go on and check my myspace when ever i feel the need.The voice quality is also great but i know I'm not the only person that has had this problem seeing that my best friend who also has a 6265 complains about it but at times when playing games if your bluetooth is connected to the phone the sound will stop playing through the headset and even after you close the game lets say for instance you receive a call you won't be able to hear anything from the bluetooth unless you turn your phone off and on i don't know why this happens, i know it's not the bluetooth because my friend and i both have different models but they are both made by nokia. The phone memory is great even without the memory card i upgraded from a 6255 and it only had 7 megabytes of memory the 6265 having about twenty megabytes.I loving have the themes option on this phone my 6255 didn't have that, this is one thing that i love about this phone being able to completely personalize the phone anyway that i want it really makes the phone feel like it's YOURS if you know what i mean.The two major problems that i do have with this phone is 1st is the media player, it doesn't play video the that i have on my phone i have a couple episodes of scrubs on my phone but the media player will not play them like the music player does which mean i can't fast forward or rewind. The other thing is that is this phone has a tendency to shut itself off but all in this is a great phone in spite of all the negatives I'm still willing to fight some one because of it!
