I've been using this 6230 for 6years and it still works and havent changed the battery with new. well its not produced but if u can find a clean used one u should buy it for ur second no. i was using 6510 before this 6230 and 6510 still works too. i think ive made good choices while buying mobilephones. now im preparing to buy 6500. i hope that one will work for a life time. thanks noki

The Predecessor to the 6230. This phone has the same height in spite of the other screen. The new display is still capable to support 65000 colors, but it has the resolution of 128*160 pixels (27.5õ34.5 mm). So, the main defect of the Nokia 6230 – the small screen, is improved in the new model. In our opinion the keypad has an average ergonomics and functions pretty well, the phone is convenient in everyday life.The second improvement, which deserves our attention, is appearance of the second speaker on the right side of the phone. Probably the manufacturer tried to realize stereo sound in the phone. Unfortunately we couldn’t listen to stereo sound because speakers had a rather strange position. But the second speaker (on the right side) is not covered (when the phone is an holster) and it increases volume of the ringtones. It’s a real improvement of the construction.The third and the main improvement is 1Mgpixel camera in the phone. The quality of photos is comparable to Nokia 7610. On the contrast to Nokia 6230 shutter does not cover the camera lens. Limits to record large video clips were widen to 16Mb (it was 4Mb in Nokia 6230 if I am not mistaken). Video clips look better on the new screen, but there is no considerable improvement of the picture.We can also say about such new function as effects. It’s a pity that the set of effects was too small in the last phones from Nokia. This lack is improved in Nokia 6230i. I forgot to say earlier that the maximum images resolution is 1280*960 pixels.

Nokia 6230 is great phone. It has got a card slot(it's good if u listen a lot of music on ur phone)

i got a 6230 for a while.. a month i thinkeverything is great about it .. the mp3 quality , radio quality , design , and all features.what i dont like about it it's just the movies (blurry and low fps) and the size of the screen ..it's great anyway.Need some games and themes for it.. can anyone help me (yep , the last part is offtopic) sew me :dbtw my first post on this forum.. newb in the house :d

I have had this phone for a while and it is a really good phone except for two things:One: The screen. It is really dark and almost impossible to read in daylight situations. This is the worst thing about this phone, but it is no deal breaker. The screen is also a little small and not very colorful.Also dust tend to get in between the screen and the casing so I usually have to clean it once a month or so as I usually keep this small phone in my pant pocket all the time.Two: The camera is very low quality, all images look like they were taken through a coke bottle bottom: Noisy, low in resolution and color. Best regarded as a toy feature.One thing that really rocks about this phone is the way the menues work, it is really simple and intuitive to use. Most used features like texting or photography or whatever, can be set up so they are only one click away. Brilliant!It is a really good phone all things considered, small, light, sturdy, and battery life is pretty good and it recharges in no time.

I have this fone for 6-7 months now & i love it.It's a phone that has it all u can put a MMC card of upto 1 GB in it,but i have 512 MB.I wish it could play WAV files to.

i love this little phone if you have owned a nokia before, even if you haven`t its easy to use and has loads to keep you busy. it`s light and a really nice looking phone.

This phone has everything you could ever want, exept for a big screen, this phone would be even more perfect if the screen were bigger.

when i first heard about the 6230 i knew i had to get one and that it was the phone for me! now that i have it i have to say that the phone is absolutely amazing, it is all i need now... no watch or mp3 needed!! and its sooo good looking! excellent!
