The signal volume is high and the polyphony is 48-tones. The mp3 signal is evidently louder than in the Nokia 7610/6670 but lower than in the Nokia 6681/6680/6630. The loudspeaker volume is enough almost always and in a silence hissing is clearly heard. You can get rid of it by setting the volume lower, but we advise to check the parameter quality before buying the phone. The model is pleasant despite being based on an old processor with low productivity. It has one of the best screens among the 60th platform products, a loud enough signal, good assembly quality. Replacing the Nokia 6670/7610 with the Nokia 3230 seems senseless; this device should be considered as a replacement for old models on the third series (Nokia 3650, Nokia 3660). You can have this device instead of the Nokia 6600 but the profit is quite unclear, then you'd better orient towards the Nokia 6630 or its clones. The model has no evident rivals in its price segment and it will provide a stable demand.
Immediately impressing is its huge display screen which seems sharper than those found on its previous Symbian counterparts, the 7610 and 6670...Unfortunately, the keypad's reduced dimensions and thickness make the grip slightly uneven and the handset top-heavy...Disappointingly, like the 6670, you won't find any dedicated volume controls on the 3230. In addition, the power button is slightly recessed and rather stiff, which makes it unusually difficult to press. Overall, this handset is a Symbian-powered, high-end Nokia mobile which packs some decent features. While certain design flaws and weak photo-taking capabilities may put some off, this Nokia offering is a safe bet for those eager for a Symbian phone and fancy the 3230's look and feel.
Shaving price yet maintaining a high quality set of features, Nokia's 3230 is a solid smartphone for non-business users. A great screen, good camera and an outstanding joystick combine with several games to deliver fun on the go, but poor keypad ergonomics take some of the fun out of the equations. At this price, the 3230 is a steal even though its feature set cannot fully match up to other smartphones on shelves these days; just be sure you're not buying more than you need as there's a lot to be had. The embodiment of mediocrity, Nokia's 3250 isn't a particularly bad music phone - it's just not a very good one, either. Mediocre audio quality and music management evoke a feeling of music functionality having been an afterthought, yet the handset surprisingly shines with regard to synchronization. 512 MB of memory is a decent amount at the time of writing, and the stereo FM radio is a nice touch - but nothing to write home about. Where do I change the settings of the screen so the bottom line is not under the lower menu icons? Otherwise tis a fair 4one.
hai mobile friends , iam shajahan from india feeling so happy for giving this review.]at first i thought this one is also disappoints me in all terms such as muzik,video and speaker phone quality but when i got it it suprised me a lot and now iam well satisfied with this phone, i will be more representable to call this phone a device.not a phone, it makes almost of these days.so my phone is rocking.

I'm from Philippines... My opinion about my n3230 are: 1. Good cam 2. Good connectivity 3. nice in gamingHowever, speakers not good, but try to put headset,, it's sounds good promise!hehe lastly, n3230 runs a little bit slow...even if your opening only 1 application,,and the worse if you upgrade your mmc to 128, 256 and 512mb,,, hayz... it runs too slow...but i can say that n3230 is a good phone,, but not in a pure texting, hehe
well its an outdated phone ...but the design is a bit uniq ... its larger on the top and gets smaller in size when it comes down to the key pad ...but they should have put a 3 g cam in the front top position of it ...
I don't have this phone,but I like it very much.
I'm Sathish from India, i use this nokia 3230 mobile for the past 1 year.This phone doesnt hav a good sound output and if u guys are looking for good sound plz don buy nokia 3230. but it supports all popular formats mp3,wav,amr,midi., etc. Apart from sound nokia 3230 is a very good mobile when it comes to GPRS internet browsing.It supports DIVX video playback.Antivirus is a must and Kaspersky antivirus works good.

Is a nice phone and I say it with an experience of almost an year with it now. Has all the required features including a radio and an acceptable 1.3 MP camera. Handling is convenient and joystick is sturdy and provides navigational ease. All in all I like it much. 8/10 is the score that I give.
used this phone before..pretty good.. i like the shape.. the camera's pretty good.. i think everything's fine..except..the keypads may cause problems at smtime.. and may not be as comfortable.. the joystick may broke if u're not careful enough..the camera.. tends to make the pictures taken, shorter! hard to explain.. but..when u take ur photo, ur face look shorter, or fatter.. otherwise, it's a cool phone.. survived using it for a year..which means it's tolerable.. :D
