Motorola V600 Review (Expert)
The best thing about the V600, besides that it looks cool, is that it has great RF (signal strength for you noobies) I thought the Nokia 6820 was good, but this phone got signal where my 6820 did not. Also the feature set reads like a list of "must haves" for most cell phone junkies out there. Bluetooth, speakerphone, voicedial, NICE color screen, decent camera, MP3 ringtones, and video playback are just some of the things that make the V600 an awesome phone. The phone is almost perfect....There's not many things I hate about this phone, but there are a few. First off...compared to Nokia phones, the User Interface is a little slow, takes a little while for the action on the screen to catch up to your button click. Secondly, and I don't know if it's just Motorola, but the Bluetooth is terrible compared to others out there. I have to constantly turn off and on either my phone, or accessories to get it to connect. Last but not least is the phonebook. Motorola just can't get this right. I guess I'm just spoiled on Nokia's system...but you can't delete massive amounts of contacts at one time, you have to have contacts on the phone to do the "cool" things like picture caller ID, you can't see just the sim contacts or just the phone contacts alone... The ability for the V600 to play video but not record it....why Moto?
The network quality is fine for all v-series models. They provide network connection everywhere where it’s possible. The loudspeaker is loud enough, sometimes even too loud. The sound is synthesized into soft tones and is nice to hear. Your interlocutor hears you clearly, no problems were encounter during the conversation while I was on the street (I mean the problems caused by the phone’s construction; it’s clearly understandable that the noise affected the talk, but it was still okay). The ring tone’s volume is above the average level, polyphonic ring tones sound pleasantly. This phone can be compared with the other European models, it’s not as loud as the Korean phones, and however it does sound more musical. Once again it’s a matter of preferences, some people like softer melodies that are slightly quitter, and the others prefer louder melodies that sound more roughly... If we talk about the older models – then it’s obvious that these phones are well-made
