Externally, Motorola seemed to design the PEBL as a polar opposite to the RAZR and SLVR. Being rather thick round as opposed to thin and sharp, the PEBL appeals to a different type of consumer. Internally, the PEBL is very similar to its ultra-thin cousins, including similar cameras, applications, and features. Unfortunately, many of these similarities are parallel drawbacks as well. Integrating prior generation VGA cameras and the absence of MP3 players and high-speed 3G connectivity, the PEBL is not very comparable in function compared other devices on the market. However, the PEBL defies logic. Being a different breed entirely, designed with the fashion-conscious consumers in mind, appearance was placed in the forefront rather than functionality. Truly distinct, the PEBL seems to evoke that rare quality of the desire Motorola so successfully achieved with the RAZR. Using high-quality materials to carefully craft its unique look, Motorola ensured the PEBL had a solid feel not found on most phones today. Given unusual attention to aesthetics, from its oval shape to the elongated external LCD, consumers are likely to overlook the PEBL's shortcomings in favor of its unique appeal

I got my pebl some time in September and it's now the end of February and it is in excellent condition. The phone is amazing and takes rather good photos. It's a gorgeous phone and I always get praise for it. The hard rubber exterior makes it so that it's hard to scratch. I've dropped it so many times, got it stuck between my bed frame and the wall many times and it looks like it's new. Sure the inside keypad can get attracted to fingerprints easily, but that's small stuff. The pebl can easily be one of the best phones I've had.

I got the pebl for christmas and I do love it. If you hold it in your hands, it feels so warm and well, like a stone - yes like a pebble. the most important thing for me was actually the fabulous desgin. It looks more like an accessories than a mobile phone.The opening-mechanism works really fine. software seems to be the same like the razr... unfortunately there is no iSync support right now. Only one thing I don't like: after a few times of use this phone, you get so much fingerprints on his cover and you always need to clean them... the same way with the inside-display... nevertheless, I don't wanna miss my pebl, for me it's like a precious, little diamond.
