Motorola E1000 Review (Expert)
his is a typical Motorola in all its characteristics, good connection, and loud speakerphone. The extra loudspeakers present provide loud call signal. The power of a vibra is average. The device certainly possesses its strengths - two loudspeakers, memory cards (no hot change), a perfect screen. Considering the model is already represented on the market and has still been sold for a long time, it can be called successful. That is not a bad choice for 3G networks, just a copy of Motorola E398. No doubt the model looses to Nokia 6630, but it costs much less. The model is not very interesting for those using only GSM connection. Just consider it, heavier weight due to the UMTS, shorter working time than in Motorola v635, but the characteristics are similar. The model should be considered only regarding 3G networks. The device remains mainly fashion for Russian users due to its high price and unordinary appearance. Functionally, the device differs from Motorola E398 (if not considering the camera) and Motorola V635 in nothing.
As if it was straight out of a Jekyll and Hyde story, the e1000 compared to the A1000 is a gem to use. It’s small, compact and dispels the belief that 3G phones have to be big and clunky. More to the point, all the features that you would want from a multimedia phone are here including Bluetooth, a 262k screen and a 1.2 megapixel camera. Even the integration of Three’s 3G services has been well done on this model. What we find so strange then, is the complete difference of the two models. While we understand that they are supposedly aimed at different markets, the difference between them is so surprising that you wouldn’t believe they came from the same manufacturer.
The E1000 is a very well built mobile phone, which is slightly bigger and heavier when compared with other 3G phones in the market. It offers a good blend of video technology and phone capabilities in one neat package that early 3G service adopters would do well to take note of. Pros: Macho design solidly-built feature-laden excellent sound system Cons: Pricey difficult to remove the external memory card no full-screen viewfinder.
t’s not easy being one of the first 3G-capable mobile phones to appear in the Singapore market. Besides having to suitably represent the high-speed, video-streaming service, the phone must also prove itself as a capable mobile. Thankfully the Motorola E1000 didn't do 3G or the company any disservice with an impressive showing. All in all, the Motorola E1000 offers a good blend of video technology and phone capabilities which should appeal to early adopters hungry for a reasonably priced 3G phone.
