Overall, the U8120 is a good 3G phone and definitely better than the older version. However, we did not really see the point of its release so close after the release of U8110 especially since there was not much difference between the two phones. Admittedly, the packaging is a lot sexier than its predecessor but the additional memory of 18MB still does not help much. We found the Sony Ericsson Z1010 memory slot to be the best solution for extended memory. But then again, it is up to the consumers.

The changes from the 8110 to the 8120 should be classed as minor yet make the 8120 a much more attractive purchase. As can be seen from the photo above the face of the phone has had a smart uplift and this definitely makes for a more appealing look. It now appears to look even shinier. The spec for the phone remains the same except for the phones internal user memory which has been updated from 14MB to 32MB to help with user related memory storage. This means more memory space for audio and video files etc.
