just dial *#7370# and that will do the master factory reset/format.make sure u have backed up aall important stuff!

Try hard flashing your mobile.(This is different from restoring your phone to factory settings.)
You can do this by your own or you can get it done by the nokia customer care outlet. But you can do it on yur own.......
I've done it a couple of times on my nokia N72 and E50.

To do this I recommend you to make a backup of you phone data using nokia pc suite backup utility.

Charge your battery untill it is fully charged.

To start Hard Formatting switch of your phone.
No need to remove your memory card or sim card.

Now hold the green button(call button) with one hand, the numerical 3 button and asterik button(star button) with your second hand.

Now you will require a third hand to switch on your phone.

keep pressing the call, numerical 3 and asterik button till the phone is switched on(untill you see the home screen) and you hear the nokia starting tone.

now you will have to enter your location and the time zone and you're ready to go...........

If you want soft flashing then dial *#7370# then you'll have to enter your phone's security pin ( 12345 by default ).
The phone will restart and soft format will be completed...........
